Frequently asked questions
An Amazon keyword tool lists the searches shoppers type on Amazon, so you can target them in your Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns and use them in your product titles. This one reads them live from Amazon's search bar, on 23 marketplaces, for free and without an account.
Every keyword it shows is a search Amazon itself suggests to its shoppers. None is generated, translated or guessed.
From Amazon's autocomplete: the list that drops down under the search bar while a shopper types. Amazon shows up to 10 suggestions for what is typed, the most searched first.
Ten suggestions only show the head of a topic. So the tool types your keyword followed by each letter of the alphabet (“yoga mat a”, “yoga mat b”…) and, if you ask, each digit, question words and prepositions, in the language of the marketplace. Each of them brings up to 10 more searches: the long tail behind your keyword.
| Option | What is typed | Amazon searches |
|---|---|---|
| Your keyword | yoga mat | 1 |
| Letters A to Z | yoga mat a, yoga mat b … yoga mat z | 26 to 45, by alphabet |
| Digits 0 to 9 | yoga mat 0 … yoga mat 9 | 10 |
| Questions | how to yoga mat, which yoga mat | 4–6 |
| Prepositions | yoga mat for, yoga mat with, best yoga mat | 5–7 |
Every keyword is listed once, with three figures:
- Best position: its best place in Amazon's list, 1 being the first suggestion. Amazon puts the most searched first, so a low number means a popular search.
- Found in: how many of the searches the tool typed brought it up. A keyword that comes back again and again is one shoppers reach in many ways.
- Words: one or two words is a broad search, often expensive; four words or more is the long tail, cheaper per click and closer to a purchase.
Tick the keywords that describe your product, then:
- Exact match for the most relevant ones with a good position: you pay only for that search.
- Phrase match for keywords of two or three words, to cover the longer searches that contain them.
- Broad match on a few of your keywords, so that Amazon finds searches its search bar does not show.
- Negative keywords for what is not your product (another brand, a wrong size, “for kids”), so that no click is wasted on it.
Amazon gives no search volume in its search bar, so this tool shows none: a keyword's position and how often it comes back are the honest signals. A monthly volume printed by a keyword tool is an estimate.
The real figures come once your ads run: Amazon's search term report gives the impressions, clicks and sales of every search that showed your ads. Gloriads reads it for you and turns a search that costs without selling into a negative keyword in two clicks.
Yes: no account and no card. Without the extension, each visitor gets up to 540 Amazon searches an hour (about 20 keywords from A to Z), 5,400 with a Gloriads account.
With the free Gloriads extension for Chrome and the other Chromium browsers, there is no limit. The page detects the extension by itself. For this tool, the extension only talks to Amazon's search-bar autocomplete and to gloriads.com.
Every marketplace where Amazon sells ads. The letters typed after your keyword follow the alphabet it is written in: Swedish å ä ö, Polish ą ć ę, Turkish ç ğ ş, Arabic letters, Japanese hiragana.

Yes. Each keyword is a suggestion Amazon's own search bar shows its shoppers on that marketplace, collected live at the moment of your search. The tool only types the beginnings and collects Amazon's answers.
Yes. They are collected live from Amazon's search bar when you search, not from a list built months ago, so they are fresh: a new trend shows up as soon as Amazon suggests it.
Yes. The tool searches every department of Amazon, books included, so its keywords fit Kindle, paperback and Merch on Demand campaigns as well as any other product.
Nothing of yours. For this tool, it only sends the searches you ask for to Amazon's search-bar autocomplete and hands the answers back to the page. On Amazon, it reads only the results pages and best-seller lists, for its ASIN grabber. It never reads your Amazon account, your orders or your browsing history.
