How much does it cost to advertise on Prime Video?

With Amazon Streaming TV there is no minimum: you pay per 1,000 impressions and Amazon suggests $150-250 a day. Managed DSP campaigns start at $50,000.
Advertising on Prime Video through Amazon Streaming TV (formerly Sponsored TV) has no minimum spend: you pay per 1,000 impressions (CPM), with a daily budget you choose. Amazon suggests $150 to $250 a day to start, and its guides suggest bids of $10 to $25 per 1,000 impressions. Campaigns managed by Amazon's team start at $50,000.
These figures come from Amazon's own help pages and guides, checked in October 2026. They are in US dollars.
The two ways to pay
| Self-service | Managed by Amazon | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum | None | $50,000 a campaign |
| Advice | $150-250 a day; $10,000 a campaign | — |
| Price | CPM | CPM |
Amazon's product page lists both packages. Its "$10K recommended campaign minimum" for self-service is advice, not a rule: the same page says there is "no minimum spend requirement". What Streaming TV is.
What a CPM bid costs you
You set a maximum average CPM for each ad group: the most you accept to pay for 1,000 impressions. An impression is one showing of your video.
Amazon's guides suggest:
| Audience | Suggested bid |
|---|---|
| Broad (a whole category) | $10-15 |
| Close to your product | $20-25 |
Another Amazon guide suggests starting at $15, and puts its guidance at $25-30 depending on the season, the audience and the location.
Example: a $200 daily budget at an average $20 CPM buys about 10,000 impressions a day, or 300,000 over 30 days for $6,000. The narrower the audience, the higher the bid and the fewer the impressions.
What else can cost money
- The video. The console can generate one with AI, or you upload your own. Amazon's creative services can produce a TV-quality video on request.
- Nothing else: no fee to join, and no upfront commitment. The daily budget is the most you can spend in a day.
Keep the first campaign cheap
- Start at $150 a day, the low end of Amazon's advice.
- Use 3 to 5 audiences, with a bid near $15.
- Wait 14 days before judging: Amazon credits searches and orders up to 14 days after a view.
- Judge on branded searches and new-to-brand orders, not on the cost of a sale: it is an awareness ad.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum budget to advertise on Prime Video?
Not with Streaming TV. Only Amazon's managed service has one: $50,000 per campaign.
Do I pay per view or per click?
Per 1,000 impressions. Clicks (QR code scans) and complete views are reported, but the price is per impression.
Can I pay to appear on Prime Video only?
Not with Streaming TV, which runs across Prime Video, Twitch and other streaming services. Amazon DSP has a dedicated Prime Video campaign (the difference).
