Where do Amazon Sponsored Display ads appear?

Amazon Sponsored Display ads appear on Amazon product and search pages, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, IMDb, Twitch and other sites and apps, by targeting.
Amazon Sponsored Display ads appear on Amazon product pages and search results pages, on Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, on IMDb and Twitch, and on third-party websites and apps. Your targeting decides whether an ad can leave Amazon: audiences and broad contextual targets can serve on and off Amazon, while specific products or refined categories keep it on Amazon.
You do not pick placements one by one in Display. Checked against Amazon's help pages in October 2026.
Where your targeting sends the ad
| Your targeting | Where the ad can appear |
|---|---|
| Audiences (remarketing, in-market, interests…) | On and off Amazon |
| "Similar to advertised products", or a category with no refinement | On and off Amazon |
| Specific products, or a category refined by brand, price, rating or Prime | On Amazon only: product pages and search results |
How each targeting option works.
On Amazon
- Product pages: next to the product details and customer reviews, including pages of competing or complementary products you target.
- Search results pages.
- Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.
Display does not limit you to your own category: you can target product pages outside it, within Amazon's relevance guardrails.
Off Amazon
- IMDb and Twitch.
- Third-party websites and apps, in Amazon's own and partner networks.
A click always leads back to your product page on Amazon (or to your website, for a brand that does not sell on Amazon).
Keep control of where it shows
- Exclude sites, apps or creators with a deny list. It applies to all your Display and Sponsored Products campaigns.
- See where you were clicked: the matched target report lists the products whose pages showed your ad and got at least one click.
- Stay on Amazon: target specific products, or refine your categories.
